Our Team
Sarah
Sarah studied Equine Management and Reproduction at Michigan State University and has spent decades working with horses, including more than 12 years running her own training and boarding operation. Her experience spans training, riding, barn management, and developing strong partnerships between horses and their riders.
Sarah rides western and has a particular love for reining. She brings a patient, practical approach to her training and believes every horse has something different to teach us. When she's not working with horses, you can usually find her with a smile, a story, and a horse nearby. Her heart horse is her 12-year-old gelding, Woodrow, a talented Docs horse known for his beautiful flying lead changes and impressive spins.
Kirsten
While Kirstens foundation is rooted in western riding and the reining world, her horsemanship has continued to grow and evolve with every horse she works with.
Today, Kirsten has a particular passion for helping horses build strength, endurance, and fitness, especially for owners looking to bring their horses back into shape or prepare them for more demanding work. She also enjoys problem solving and developing confident, willing horses through thoughtful, individualized training. As her own horsemanship continues to expand, Kirsten has developed an interest in English riding and jumping and looks forward to continuing to explore that discipline.
Her heart horse is Kit Cat, a 14-year-old Sophisticated Catt daughter and talented, beautiful-moving mare. Together, they continue to learn, grow, and explore new areas of horsemanship.
